Emergency Protocol
Departments and Colleges may seek guidance from the Safety Office for non-urgent matters relating to risk assessment of emergency and contingency planning.
Call University Security Control Centre 24/7 on 01223 767444 if you have concerns about a member of staff or a student travelling for work or study. For instance this could be if they have missed a scheduled check-in, or have otherwise not been contactable, or have notified you that they are in difficulties.
Security will inform the travel Incident Management Team (IMT) who will be in touch to co-ordinate a response. Departments will be invited to join the IMT to lead on contact with the affected traveller and support liaison with the College (in case of students being affected) and/or the relevant HR Business Partner (in case of staff being affected).
